What Can Be Done
Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables
Eat at least five portions a day. Make sure you include plenty of variety so you won't become bored with your diet.

Drink plenty pf water and liquids throughout the day Both coffee, tea and fruit juices can irritate those with a sensitive gut so try and have plenty of water in diluted cordials or juices instead.

Eat plenty of fibre-foods
This should be in addition to fruit and vegetables. These include brown rice, sweetcorn, porridge oats, granary bread, lentils, nuts and seeds. If you have a grain intolerance or take a gluten free diet then make sure you substitute other fibre-rich foods in your daily diet.

Alleviate Cause(s) Stress
If you are feeling stressed and feel this is the root of your digestive problem, it is important to identify what is causing that stress and how best you can reduce it.

Regular Exercise
Even a brisk walk for half an hour a day will motivate a sluggish digestive system. It may seem painful at first but the benefits of regular exercise are numerous. Choose something to suit your lifestyle and add some variety so that you don't lose interest or get bored with the routine.
